Deer Creek Reservoir

Deer Creek Reservoir is a popular recreational area located in Wasatch County, Utah. The reservoir is fed by the Provo River and is roughly 3,000 acres in size, with a maximum depth of approximately 138 feet. The reservoir was created in 1941 with the construction of Deer Creek Dam, which was built primarily for irrigation and flood control.
Today, the reservoir is a popular destination for boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and picnicking. Visitors can launch their boats from one of four marinas, or rent kayaks, paddleboards, and other watercraft from local shops. Fishermen will find a variety of fish species in the lake, including rainbow trout, brown trout, smallmouth bass, and walleye.
There are several campgrounds located near the reservoir, as well as a variety of hiking and biking trails. In the winter, the area around the reservoir is popular for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
